This chapter explains how to edit, save, and export TXT or HTML. These features need a valid license.
- Choose Edit in the top bar, or press ⌥ + ⌘ + P to switch to source.
- Press ⌘ + S to save. Switching from Edit back to Read also saves if there are changes.
- File › Save As… writes the current content to a new location as Markdown, plain text, a web page, or PHP.
- Export the current file as TXT or HTML, or export the whole folder as one HTML file with a table of contents and search.
Without a license, after the trial ends, or after a subscription expires, you can still open and read files, but you cannot create, edit, save, or export. Once an hour the app asks you to buy or renew. OK opens the purchase website.
If a file has unsaved changes, switching files, closing, or quitting asks you to save, discard, or cancel. Expiry never deletes, encrypts, or rewrites your documents.
