This chapter explains how to update, how to fix common problems, and how to uninstall.
Download a new build for the matching channel from P-MIX. The subscription build only offers subscription updates. The lifetime build only offers fixes on the same release family (1.00). A new lifetime family is a separate purchase.
Troubleshooting
- The sidebar is empty after you open a folder: confirm the folder contains
.md,.txt,.html, or.phpfiles that are not hidden. - Save fails: confirm you can write to the file. For a read-only location, use Save As first.
- The serial number is invalid or not for this product: confirm you installed the lifetime build and the serial starts with PMD.
- Device limit reached: unbind a Mac under My account › Devices, then activate again.
- Network unavailable: a saved license is not cleared, and reading still works.
To uninstall, move Pmd from Applications to the Trash. Your documents stay where they are. The license token is stored in the Keychain service com.pmd.reader.pmix.license.
